Kj Johnson is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Kent, WA who attends Kentwood. Medium size frame. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher that threw from the stretch only. Belt high leg lift with drop and drive mechanics and a traditional three-quarter slot release. Stays on line driving towards the plate. Average arm speed, fastball was primarily in the mid 70's and mixed in a 12-6 shape CB. Some fundamental footwork to the baseball in the outfield, fields off to the side, long arm action and average arm strength with low cuttable throws to bases. Hit from an even base with toe tap timing. Multi part swing with some strength in the hands and enough barrel control to impact the baseball to the gaps. Excellent student.
