Jacob Wright is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-10 176 lb. frame from Woodhaven, MI who attends Woodhaven. Medium athletic build with very good strength throughout. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced straight stance with a good shift and direction into contact, swings hard and has present bat speed, strong hands and strong jump off the barrel, absolutely crushed some balls in the game to right center field, hits with confidence and aggression. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball well and attacks the ball with good angles, quick and compact arm action with some carry on his throws. Also pitched, has a big hip turn over the rubber, drop and drive mechanics with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph to go with a sweeping curveball that was his most effective pitch. Bat has a chance. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
