Wyatt Hellens is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Georgetown, DE who attends Sussex Central Senior. Hellens worked out of a young frame on the day with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. From the IF, he displayed some zip across the diamond with flashes of range up the middle. Footwork has time to refine. On the mound, Hellens used a 3/4 slot and lots of lower half incorporation to run the FB up to 79 mph. The heater showcased natural run and feel for the zone should continue to develop as he gets more comfortable on the mound. Offensively, Hellens started from a narrow stance with a consistent line drive approach back up the middle. He generated carry with lots of feel for the barrel through the zone, posting an exit velo of 84 mph. Ran a 7.64 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
