Christopher Jerla is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Ringwood, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep. Jerla worked from a variety of defensive spots throughout his day, starting as a primary 1B/IF showcasing a full arm path with developing glove work and actions to ultimately top out at 73 mph across the diamond. The arm slot remained the same with room/time to add arm strength as the '27 prospect matures. On the mound, he started from the middle of the rubber with compact mechanics and a deep in-line arm path to touch 74 mph. He mixed a SL that served as a chase pitch down in the zone with flashes of horizontal tilt. At the plate, the righty started from an even base with a hanging leg lift trigger that swung with intent to generate line drive contact back up the middle. He trusted the hands with power potential becoming more prominent in the future. Posted an exit velo of 77 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
