Reed Strohmeyer is a 2025 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Hempstead. A taller frame with length throughout and room to continue filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who showed off uber-athletic actions during his round of defensive reps. He had a ton of whip to the arm and threw 87 mph across the diamond. He showed a clue for the footwork and had good lateral range working to both sides. He changed slots as needed and had a full arm swing through his release. Really clean round overall, working at shortstop. He's a left-handed hitter with a lower back elbow as he sets up, with an even base and slightly open feet. He has a quick bat, getting the hands to it quickly. He was rotational with some pull-side juice showing during his round of BP swings. He was able to get into the back hip and lift the ball well, leveraging through contact. He had plenty of strength off the barrel and did some damage. Good student.
