Carson Joyner is a 2024 3B/RHP/C with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Strong and physical build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, has a short and simple swing, direct to the ball, gets the barrel out front consistently, arm and upper body driven swing with some strength at contact. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, step by step actions through the ball, best charging the ball, throws from a high slot when his feet are set and gets good carry on his throws. Also pitched, has a compact arm action and a high 3/4's arm slot, tends to land open out front and come across the ball on release. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph early, works mostly glove side due to his mechanics. Change up was his best pitch this outing, has good command of the pitch, also landed a soft curveball frequently for strikes.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
