2024 Sunshine Northeast Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Asher DeLue is a 2026 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Princeton, NJ who attends The Hun. Extra-large build with well-proportioned strength and plenty of projection remaining. Primary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a leg lift up to the chest. Extends down the mound well and releases the baseball from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball showed plenty of life out of the hand with some arm-side run; topped it out at 88 mph. Mixed in a vertical breaking ball with good movement when he gets on top of it. Also flashed a changeup that killed spin successfully. Projects well as an arm. Secondary outfielder, takes longer strides as he works through the baseball. Bigger separation into a powerful three-quarters release. Put plenty of carry behind the throws and kept them online. Recorded arm strength up to 89 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a simple stride prior to launch. Gets a bit drifty at times. Produced consistent contact to the pull-side with carry. Has plenty of evident strength in the hands. Posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 7.23 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Sunshine Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
