Caleb Mize is a 2024 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Summer Creek. Large frame with good size and physical projection. Ran a 7.68 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves well around the bag and plays low to the ball, confident receiver and turns into release well, mid-70s arm strength that plays well enough across. Also pitches, loose delivery with some crossfire in his release, gets extended out front and worked up to 78 with the fastball, good amount of strikes and shows some shape to the breaking ball that'll project with time. Right-handed hitter, narrow setup and big move in, longer stroke with some strength to the hands, stays under control and creates some space while getting around the baseball at times, strength he produces projects well and has a good bit more in there physically. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
