2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Jacob Baller is a 2022 C/MIF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Poplar Bluff, MO who attends Poplar Bluff. Tall and long frame with extra projection remaining. Ran a 7.38 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, long and fluid actions with an on line stride and consistent release. Popped a 2.01 during drills. A secondary infielder, short and quick footwork during the approach and sets his feet well to get balanced on throws. A right-handed hitter, starts with a spread stance and uses a leg lift trigger. Keeps the hands on top and looks to back spin balls to the middle and opposite field. Keeps the hands in and works them through the ball. Very good student.
