2024 High School All State Select Championship (2025-2026 Grads)
Drew Johnson is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Well proportioned medium build with good present strength. Works from the stretch from the first base side of the rubber, moves well down the mound, deeper arm takeaway to a low 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, arm slot creates lots of late running life, showed the ability to work to both sides of the plate, right handed hitters especially late with the barrel. Threw an upper 80's sweeping 10/4 slider as his breaking pitch. Change up has nice fading action and some drop. Lots of swing and miss is his mix and pitches. Excellent student. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
