2024 South High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Aiden Ojo is a 2027 RHP/UT with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Lake Jackson, TX who attends Brazoswood. Primary RHP with a physical frame. Works from the stretch only throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Low leg lift and short stride downhill could get more drive off his back hip. Short compact arm action into his release. Fastball worked up to 82 with good life to it and played hard. Locates away to righties and in on lefties consistently. Went to a slider with late bite and could land it at times. Also mixed in a change that he could kill spin on. Projects for more velo later down the road. Was up to 83 from the infield and moves well for his size. Showed good glove work and profiles well on the corner with a strong arm. Also played first and looked comfortable around the bag. Got the glove down on time and fielded everything cleanly. Hopped off the bag athletically and made clean turns to second. Profiles best on the corner. Right-handed hitter with a square and balanced base. Uses a small stride forward for timing from a coiled load. Dips the weight back hard on the load and needs to get off his backside more. Rotates well at the top half of things with strong hands. Showed feel to create leverage and could impact it the other way and to pull when on time. Good Student. Named to the South All State TP List.
