2023 14U Texas All-State Games
Jackson Tassin is a 2026 C/RHP/IF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Medium athletic build with some strength in his lower half. 8.34 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up high, still developing his footwork and lower half agility, makes accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield and fielded the ball cleanly and made soft accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow upright stance with a well timed stride into contact, still hand start and is short and direct into contact, solid fundamental swing that is a good base for when he's stronger and has more bat speed. Also pitched, has drop and drive mechanics to the plate with a high 3/4's arm slot, high energy finish with lots of head movement, falls off on release. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, also threw a soft curveball. Good student.
