Dylan Zdunek is a 2023 C/3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from San Gabriel, CA who attends Maranatha. Solid athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a shift into contact, pull approach with a dominant top hand to drive his swing, swing is pretty short and direct, has some strength and can drive the ball at times. 7.15 runner in the sixty at a previous PG event. Primary catcher on defense, has good arm strength and a quick release, developing footwork on his throwing and blocking, also plays some third base. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a short leg lift to the plate, lands closed out front, over the top arm slot that creates good downhill angle. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight and thrown for strikes. Also threw a low 70's curveball. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
