Boston Brown is a 2027 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Smiths Station. Tall and physical build. Ran a 7.82 sixty-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch, stomach high leg lift to balance, short and compact arm action to a medium three-quarters slot. Athletic mover, fast arm, developing command but has big stuff for the age. Fastball got up to 84 mph (2296 RPM), mixed in a curveball with varying shape up to 70 mph (2082 RPM). He also flashed a changeup in the later portion of the outing, up to 72 mph (1587 RPM). Primary first baseman, showed good footwork at the position, hands get down late, fundamentally sound and deliberate actions. Big arm strength across, recorded throws up to 82 mph. Worked out in the infield, young actions with slow footwork, limited mobility, advanced arm strength, throws were up to 84 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, waited back on the ball, worked through it with one hand to the side, throws came from a lower angle with good carry to the bag. Recorded throws up to 83 mph. Right-handed hitter, even base stance, struggled to get the barrel extended consistently but flashed some strength to the middle of the field when in rhythm. Excellent student. Named to 2023 13u/14u Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
