Daniel Colombo is a 2026 2B/RHP, 1B, with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Estero, FL who attends Southwest Florida Christian Academy. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength throughout. Ran an 8.57 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, plays back on the ball with deliberate footwork and can continue to quicken moving forward, medium length to arm action through the backside, true three-quarters release, accuracy on throws. Short steps moving away from the bag at first base, longer arm action, young actions working through the ball. Also pitched, leg lift at start up to waist, lands on line coming down the mound with a shorter stride. Full arm action through the back working to a higher three-quarters release point, up to 66 mph with shorter sinking life. Right-handed hitter, begins with a tall, slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger, can incorporate additional shift through lower half moving into contact. Keeps hands tight through swing and inside the ball, stays short to the ball, linear to downward swing plane through the zone. Contact oriented approach, most contact to the pull side, can get more extension out front. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
