Justin Patterson is a 2023 RHP/C/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Weatherford, TX who attends Weatherford. Slender medium athletic frame. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Versatile defender that can play all over the field. Side saddle set up as a catcher, with quick feet, a quick pop, average transition and a long arm action on throws with above average arm strength. Some footwork to the baseball in the outfield, fields it out front, carried the momentum through the throw and showed a strong throwing arm with accuracy. Aggressive to the baseball in the infield, hands work through the baseball, average lateral range and a high effort thrower with above average arm strength across the diamond. Hit from an even base with leg lift timing at the plate, rotational swings with some strength and bat speed in the swing and primary pull side contact. Got on time in game and collected three hits including a double. Athletic delivery with a long stride and a high three quarter arm slot. Drives down the mound well with the legs and showed a low 80's fastball that he threw for strikes and a big overhand curveball in the mid 60's. Has some deception and burst in the delivery that is unique and effective. Named to event Top Prospect List. Good student.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
