Jake Scheiden is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Keller. Athletic build. Primary catcher with a very strong arm. Quick feet and moves well behind the dish. Stays in control with a quick transfer and release. Lets the ball travel to his chest making for quick transfers. Uses a side straddle to get things going. Accurate to all bags with plenty of arm strength. 1.93 pop time. Right handed hitter with a narrow base starting slightly open. Uses a small leg lift to even out with a big weight shift forward. Ball carries off the barrel using the entire field. Gets good extension and can impact the ball to pull side especially well. Easy strength in the hands with bat speed. Swings stays compact and level for the most part and attacks at good angles. Good student.
