Nathan Cervantes is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends Northwood. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.60 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, young footwork and can continue to implement additional lower half into actions and release, receives the ball out front, short arm action with some quickness to release. Similar short and quick arm action on throws across the infield, lower slot on throws across with some present strength and accuracy, tools play at third base. Also pitched, small gather step at start, raises hands and leg lift in unison; short arm action up to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph and able to miss bats early, occasional cut action and flashed some sink when on top of the ball; mixed a curveball at 59 mph with 10-4 shape. Switch-hitter, best look from the left side, slightly open stance with hands away from body, gets the barrel out front and shows strength at the point of contact. Generates some lift through the point of contact, longer swing path, jump to pull side. High hand set and back elbow right-handed, handsy stroke and tends to get off balance in lower half, linear stroke through the zone.
