Daelen Johnson is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Beaver Dam, WI who attends Beaver Dam. Long and lanky athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Long off-line arm action in back with a whippy arm action coming through, stays balanced and upright through his delivery, athleticism enables him to repeat his mechanics well. Fastball sat in the mid-80's, gets nice run and sink and is throw for strikes, gets inside consistently to right handed hitters. Curveball is a very good second pitch with good power and sharp 11/5 downer bite, will shorten his curveball up for more of a slider/cutter look at times. Also throws a developing change up that he pronates hard over top of. Strike thrower who knows how to sequence and attack hitters, has made significant improvements since last summer. 7.09 runner in the sixty. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a simple load and shift into contact, gets to his front side well, handles the barrel well. Good student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
