Niko Strnad is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Macomb, MI who attends Dakota. A bigger frame and build. Ran an 8.41 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked 81-83 mph on the fastball with spin above 2,100 RPMs. He showed a breaking ball up to 69 mph with good spin above 2,500 RPMs and an 11-5 shape to it. He also flashed the occasional changeup at 68 mph with fading depth and spin into the 1,500s. He worked exclusively at the stretch with a leg lift to the core and a feel to stay on-line moving down the slope. He had a shorter arm action through the back with a higher three-quarters arm slot. He lived down in the zone during his outing. He took BP as a right-handed hitter with an even base, slightly spread, and higher hands. He made a quick move forward with some looseness to the swing. He was shorter and direct, with some feel to lift the ball, working back through the middle of the field. He was able to show good strength in the hands with bat speed present. He had a good rhythm to his round and put together a solid round of BP swings. He produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. He took defensive reps at first base with a two-hand smother fielding motion up the middle, with a shorter and compact arm action across the diamond. He had a clue fo the actions with good accuracy across the diamond. He showed some strength with throws at 79 mph. He moved well around the bag and had clean turns throughout his round.
