Alex King is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, MIF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Elberta, AL who attends Gulf Shores. Ran a 7.967 second sixty. Primary short stop with a smaller athletic build. Showed some feel for the actions on the infield with developing foot speed. carried the momentum into the throws well with a longer arm action making accurate throws from multiple arm slot. Works slight front eh first base side of the rubber with clean mechanics and a good balance point at the top of the leg lift. Arm actions works long through the back to a three-quarters arm slot. The fastball sat 69-71 mph with some young command getting it to both halves of the plate. The curveball lands consistently with developing arm speed but good depth through the hitting zone. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base, using a toe tap trigger to start a short compact bat path with a slight uphill movement into contact impacting the ball best to the pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
