Alexander Umland is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Windward. Features a strong, physical frame. Primary right-handed hitter. Utilizes a longer arm action into a high 3/4 slot release. Uses high-effort throughout the delivery. Fastball sat 88-91 mph and can be located armside consistently. Shows two different breaking balls with a mid-70’s curveball and upper-70’s slider. Showed the ability to create depth on curveball with 11/5 action. Also flashed low-80’s changeup with spin rates around 1530 rpm. Consistently throws strikes and can stay out of the center of the plate. Has the ability to stay off barrels consistently. Excellent student. Verbal commit to Oregon.
