2023 National Showcase
Niko Janssens is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Spring Hill, FL who attends Frank W. Springstead. Long and loose body that is very projectable. Works from the stretch with a high glove front side, long and deep arm action coming to a high 3/4's slot, lands closed with a cross fire angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 93 mph early, gets outstanding carry when he stays on top of it, lots of velocity potential as he gets stronger and more consistent. Throws a hard and short slider that gets off barrels well, also mixed in a firm slider that he deadens the spin on well. Needs lots of repetitions and more strength but has a high ceiling, a young left hander to be patient with. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
