2022 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Alex Grant is a 2024 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Tomball. Alex has a long thin athletic frame that has lots of room for development. Alex shows some ability to mix three pitches for strikes. Fastballs have some serious run and some sinking action at timers. Alex's curveball is a morph of a slider and curve but has some depth and down action. Changeup has some deception. Alex has a flat level swing to the ball, buts needs to increase bat speed and rhythm. Alex is an outstanding student in the classroom.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
