Boston Bateman is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-8 240 lb. frame from Camarillo, CA who attends Adolfo Camarillo. Extra big and strong build, stands out physically. Tall and fall delivery on the mound, gets his front side closed and rotates out of it, extended high 3/4's arm slot, will recoil out front at times and not get over his front side. Fastball worked up to 94 mph with some ride up and some cut down and to the glove side, can straighten out in the middle of the plate. Tunnels a slurve type breaking ball well with his fastball and creates very good spin and bite at times. Developing consistency always a challenge with XXL pitchers. Right handed hitter who has big raw power at the plate. Plays first base on defense when not on the mound. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
