Charles Pearce is a 2025 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Superior, CO who attends Monarch. Features a bigger build with strength present. Primary right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into slight drop and drive mechanics. Throws from a 3/4 slot using a clean arm action. Hides the ball well throughout. Fastball got up to 85 mph on a downhill plane. Showed spin rates near 2300 rpm. Attacks the zone and generates weak ground balls with the offering. Showed feel for fading changeup at 77-79 mph. Maintains arm speed well on the offering. Flashed an upper-60’s slider with tilting action. Can create bite when thrown well. Still developing confidence in the offering. Worked out on the infield. Showcased the ability to make the routine play. Can work ground balls well at times. Range likely profiles best for a corner spot. Was accurate with most throws across. Threw 78 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a slightly open base. Shifts weight using a toe tap timing mechanism. Swings on a lofted path with the ability to get the bat head out front. Has some strength at contact when the swing stays connected. Looks to drive balls in the air. More power will come as the swing mechanics continue to be refined. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Good student. Named to the Southwest Prospect Top Prospect List.
