Gavin Brunsman is a 2022 3B/RHP/SS with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Bishop Ireton. Brunsman works from a medium athletic build with clear strength, coming through the ball well with range to both sides at his primary IF spot. He flashed clean glovework and had zip across the diamond up to 84 mph. On the bump, Brunsman worked exclusively from the stretch, using a simple quick operation and high 3/4 slot to reach back and touch 86 mph. He can be considered a max effort guy, trying to blow up hitters with each pitch while sequencing a tighter slider also in the arsenal. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with evident hand speed incorporating the lower half well to generate hard line drive contact to the middle of the field. Posted an exit velocity of 91 mph. Ran a 7.03 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Named to Mid-Atlantic Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
