Alexander Biars is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Odenton, MD who attends Dematha Catholic. Recorded a 7.67 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame and stocky build. Primary catcher with a high and side straddle set up, gains ground towards second base with his footwork. Uphill thrower, tends to reach to receive rather than let the ball travel. Will improve as he stays low throughout the process, recorded a 1.97 second pop time at 73 mph. Right-handed hitter with an open stance and a big hanging leg lift trigger. Deep hand set and high back elbow, stays pretty balanced throughout and shows the ability to elevate. Needs to improve consistency moving forward, sees the most power when catching the ball out front and hitting it to the pull side. Good student.
