Cade Algaier is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Round Rock. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger Outstanding runner, 6.44 in the sixty. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight start with a well timed shift into contact, has fast hands and generates present bat speed, swings with intent, middle of the field contact with some carry and lift at times. Showed his athleticism well in the outfield, works through the ball with good momentum and clean glove work, plenty of raw arm strength, made accurate on line throws. Also pitched, athleticism shows in his delivery and he repeats his mechanics well and tunnels his pitches. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, got on hitters quickly and had some ride up in the zone. Curveball was a solid second pitch with good biting action, had a quick and efficient inning on the mound. Good student. Named to the Texas Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
