Edwin Speas is a 2025 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Wake Forest. Medium current frame with lean muscle mass and plenty of time to add in the future. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Primary position IF, displaying smooth footwork covering plenty of ground and getting himself into the right angle for plays. Late glove action but the hands work and ball is secure when it hits the mitt. Emerging arm strength with clean arm path and carry with accuracy across the diamond. Built throws up to 77 mph and there is more to come. Shows a feel for the clay and will be an advanced fielder with time and reps. RHH working with a narrow and open stance to start. High back elbow and good handset allowing him to work inside the ball effectively. Short path to impact, will slice the ball here and there but shows repeatable timing. Really good contact when on plane and is best when he stays in the middle of the field. Power projects as overall strength gains are made. Good student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
