Adrian Poviones is a 2023 SS/IF, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Hialeah Gardens Senior. Medium frame with a lean build. Showing some fast twitch muscle. Ran a 6.59 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, bouncing around as he proved to have lateral range. Clean gather out front and transferred quickly. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 79 mph during drills. Instincts present and fundamentally sound. Will make jumps as the frame fills out physically. Switch hitter, from the right side, narrow stance to start with high hands behind the ear. Rhythm in the hands as he strides out while drifting a bit. Stays compact in the swing as he works at a slight downhill angle into the zone. Table setter type approach from this side. From the left side, similar in the set as he starts narrow. Strides out and gets more use out of the legs from this side. Hand speed present as he flicks the wrist. Quick bat as he sprayed it on a line to all fields.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
