Gavin Vanderpool is a 2024 OF/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from San Marcos, CA who attends San Marcos. Features a sturdy, athletic frame. He has a three-pitch mix that includes fastball, curveball and change up. Lefty throwing out of a 3/4 slot with prototypical mechanics. He is. a strike thrower with a solid change up that has sink when it stays down in the zone. In the oufield he showed proper footwork and glove mechanics with the ability to one hop accurately. At the plate has a smooth left-handed swing with the ability to use the whole field. Bat speed is present with the ability to find barrels consistently. He has over the fence juice. He is an excellent student.
