Dylan Rex is a 2024 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Hallandale Beach, FL who attends University School Of Nova Southeastern University. A taller frame with some physicality and some strength to pair. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who starts with an open base and a right-knee down setup to start that he showed later in the round of throws. Had some whip to the arm with a quick arm stroke through release. Produced a 2.00 pop time down to second while throwing 78 mph. Releases out front and keeps the ball on a lower flight down to second. A right-handed hitter with a physical box presence. Turns it over well getting the barrel on it and producing good carry on balls hit to the pull-side. Gets to the launch position and does damage. Room to keep improving as he adds strength moving forward. Produced an 88 mph exit velocity during PG tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Controlled leg lift up above the belt, moving well down the mound and throwing from a higher slot. Had some whip to the arm through release, hiding the ball well through the back. Worked 82-84 mph with spin above the 2,000 RPM mark. Flashed a splitter up to 80 mph that had some great depth to it. Mixed in a slider at 70 mph with tighter shape and some tilt to it. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
