Ethan Righter is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Fairfield, CT who attends St. Luke's. Medium, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and some strength to frame, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball and shows range, clean actions to the backhand, consistently accurate with throws, extra step into release, quick release with an over the top slot but showed ability to drop when needed, present carry across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Stays direct to the ball at start of swing, longer finish through point of contact and repeats mechanics well, showed comfort working to the middle of the field but also went with the outer half pitch in live action while finding the barrel. Some present strength in hands, on time with swing and front foot trigger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
