Gabriel Velasquez is a 2028 SS with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Maracaibo, ZU who attends Miami Coral Park. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium open stance with a short and simple stride into contact, comfortable hand load, well balanced swing, swings hard and has some bat speed, handed the barrel well in the games with hard line drive contact. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well side to side and has some lower half agility, smooth and fluid hand action with some glove quickness, showed solid arm strength with more to come. Excellent student.
