2023 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Ryan Hons is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Bloomsburg, PA who attends Central Columbia. Strong athletic build with some physical maturity. Works from a high energy delivery on the mound with semi-stretch mechanics to start, gets his hips turned well and works down he mound, deep and fast arm circle. Fastball sat in the mid-80's with some running life. Tends to slow his arm on a slurve type breaking ball with some sweeping depth. 5.16 runner in the forty. Showed his arm strength well in the outfield in drills, looks like a third baseman athletically. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow straight stance with a big stride into contact, has a power oriented lifting swing with good bat speed, can impact the ball to the pull side when he's timed up. Good student. Named to the Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
