Leighton Jones is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Timber Creek. Long and lean frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.07 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, loose and easy athlete, fields it well and moves around bag with intent, longer arm stroke to release with mid-70s arm strength, played well on the move. Also worked out in the outfield, clean mover and a quick release, solid direction to actions and showed accuracy on throws. Switch-hitter, grades out a bit better on the right side at present. Short compact swing on the left side while swinging it hard with some bat speed, more comfortable and loose on the right side, able to get timed up better and create some leverage while staying short and quick to impact. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
