Joey Talbot is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Lake Mary, FL who attends Lake Highland Prep. Athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Cross body delivery with a low 3/4's arm slot, big leg raise to start his delivery, loose and whippy arm, repeated his mechanics well. Worked in the upper 70's with his fastball and topped out at 80 mph, gets very good arm side life at times, primary fastball pitcher who filled up the zone with the pitch and threw to contact. Also threw a sweeping breaking ball with occasional depth, developing change up. Attacks hitters consistently. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Plays infield when not on the mound, throws from a high 3/4's slot in the field. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open wide base, moves into contact well, pretty short swing path with pull side contact, turns the barrel over consistently, line drive swing plane, handles the barrel well and made consistent square game contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
