Josiah Salazar is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, IF with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Hesperia, CA who attends Oak Hills. Compact, wiry build with athletic traits in the frame. Ran a 7.21 in the 60-yard dash. Infielder, good feet and hands that remained in-sync in drills. Accurate arm across the diamond with good intent and strength out of a lower slot. Bouncy range to either side. Left-handed hitter, medium base and open stance with high back elbow. Quick hands match plane with intent to the pull side. Showed good strength that way from a clean, connected stroke. Consistent round on both sides. Very good student.
