2023 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Parker Smith is a 2024 C/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Primary catcher with a larger frame showing some strength to the build. Showed good speed with a 6.92 second sixty. Is quick and athletic out of the crouch with a fast transfer in the middle of the body while gaining some ground into the throws. The arm strength stands out with plenty of carry to cover the bag while showing accuracy with a 1.81 second pop time. Right-handed hitter, starts in a balanced stance with even base. Gets to a good launching point with the base while showing some loft to the bat path and driving the baseball in the air. Bat speed helps to produce loud impact to the opposite field gap at his best. Very good student. Named to the 2023 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
