Newton Garcia is a 2022 1B/3B, OF with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Mcarthur. Large frame with a thick build and present strength. Ran a 7.84 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, worked out at first base with sure handed actions, squares body up to receive it with fundamental footwork and making the plays throughout. Also worked out in the infield with good transitions into throws with a short arm action and easy throws across. Right-handed hitter, uses strength in the body to turn the barrel over even with length in the swing and showing ability to create long carry when squared out front. Good student.
