2023 National Southeast Showcase
Chase Taylor is a 2025 C/1B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Jackson, GA who attends Piedmont Academy. Medium, athletic frame right now with ample room to add additional lean strength. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, works under the ball, left knee down stance in game, flexible with lateral mobility, clean exchange and repeats throwing mechanics, solid overall package back there with a chance to improve. Secondary outfielder, compact arm action, fine movements getting to the ball, one hand gather, solid mover out here with a game like feel to it. Took reps on the bump, right-handed pitcher, rhythmic delivery, hands out front that drop to waist then back up with a belt high lift, short takeaway, works straight down the slope, mixed in an 11/5 curveball, repeated delivery and threw strikes. Right-handed hitter, weight on backside, even base, high hands and back elbow, short knee lift trigger with middle to oppo line drive approach, makes consistent contact. Solid fundamental base in place right now with good idea in multiple facets of the game.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
