2023 Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Ryan Petras is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Bethel Park, PA who attends Bethel Park. Petras immediately impressed during his day by posting a 6.47 sixty yard dash time, an obvious advanced speed tool that presented itself across multiple scenarios on both sides of the field. Exclusively from his primary MIF spot, he showcased quick clean transfers with a deep fielding funnel and effortless lateral range. He made difficult plays look routine and ultimately topped out at 83 mph across the diamond with additional arm strength developing in the future. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open base with some wrap to the barrel, creating natural lift to the pull side of the field flashing a compact stroke. He utilized a toe-tap trigger for timing, posting an exit velo of 80 mph. Great student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
