Tyler Garrett is a 2026 OF/RHP, 2B, SS with a 5-8 162 lb. frame from Scarborough, ME who attends Scarborough. Young, square shouldered frame with present strength throughout frame, additional room to develop moving forward. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps on the approach to the ball, remains upright, extra step into release, works behind the ball well and shows a quick transfer, deeper arm action with accuracy on throws to intended base. Fields the ball out front in the infield, double tap release, nice accuracy on throws and arm strength will continue to develop, sound approach to the ball. Also pitched, coiled leg lift at top of delivery with a slight hip turn, works to a three-quarters release point and filled up the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 65 mph and maintained over both innings, repeats delivery well, velocity projects and mixes with comfort showing a 12-6 shaped curveball with some downer life to it up to 57 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a closed stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Gets front foot down on time, handsy swing and gets extended out front at the point of contact. Best contact to the middle of the field, contact oriented approach, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength, does consistently get the barrel out front. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
