Drew Diamond is a 2024 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Hattiesburg, MS who attends Presbyterian Christian. Athletic build with good present strength, especially in his lower half. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has very good lower half quickness and changes direction well, has the athleticism and range to play second base in addition to third, fields the ball cleanly with soft hands and a quick release, has some carry on his throws especially when on top of the ball. Also played some outfield with the same type of athleticism and quickness, makes accurate one-hop throws. Can see him being a super utility type on defense with the build and tool set to learn to play catcher as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short stride into contact, swings hard and creates good bat speed, controlled the barrel well and showed some jump when squared. Also pitched, has drop and drive mechanics that work well from the wind up. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight with occasional late diving action, worked mostly with his fastball. Also threw an occasional mid-60's curveball, tends to slow his body on this pitch. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
