Blake Secrest is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Camp Hill, PA who attends Cedar Cliff. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.96 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, higher leg lift at start of delivery with some rhythm throughout, early hand break into a longer arm swing through the backside, works to a lower three-quarters release point and generates some deception and uncomfortable at-bats given slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, comes out of hand cleanly and shows consistent running life to arm side; induces weak contact with life and able to miss bats. Short breaking ball up to 65 mph with some depth, can maintain arm speed better at release moving forward. Similar arm action at first base, shows ability to adjust slot on throws, young footwork away from bag and will continue to develop actions at the ball. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a big shift moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone, gets to front side early with weight shift at times; shows strength at point of contact when on time and squared, best contact to pull side, full finish through the ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
