Damian Montanez is a 2025 OF/MIF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Killeen, TX who attends Shoemaker. Medium build with some present strength. 6.58 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has good bounce in his actions and is a twitchy athlete, takes good angles to the ball, has a fast arm from a high arm slot and gets good carry on his throws. Would be interesting to see his athleticism in the infield. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a short stride into contact, loads his hands tight and keeps his swing very short and direct, lots of bat speed with consistent mid field line drive contact. Nice well rounded tool set. Good student, verbal commitment to UT-San Antonio.
