2023 Texas Prospect Showcase
Jack Buerkle is a 2025 OF/3B, UT with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Regents School of Austin. Primary outfielder with an uber athletic build. Athleticism really shows in the outfield with smoother actions. Uses the quick feet well to work through the ball. Throws were firm with carry and accuracy showing plenty of arm strength. Longer arm action coming full circle and really rears back. Worked out in the infield as well starting low and staying low throughout the process. Fielded it cleanly and has a quick first step. Profiles more in the outfield. Ran a 6.91 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Has a quick arm and went to a running 2-seamer in the low-80s. Delivery is fast paced. Went to a heavy downer slider as his main secondary pitch with late tail. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Uses a toe tap trigger for timing and fires off back side well. Big time quickness in the hands should carry him producing plenty of bat speed. Uses the entire field and can really spray it all over on a line. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
