Camdyn Wootan is a 2023 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Woods. Ran a 7.53 second sixty. Primary short stop with a lean projectable build. Showed some actions to like on the infield with early glove presentation as he does a nice job playing low to the ground and working through the ball. Made accurate throws from a lower slot showing the ability to complete plays on the move. Maintained his momentum well in the outfield receiving the ball on the side and transferring with game like action into a long arm action with some effort out front at the release showing average arm strength. On the mound he starts square with a busy delivery sitting into the back leg before exploding down the mound. Fastball sat 72-77 mph as the set up pitch for the three pitch mix showing some feel for the zone with each. Changeup sat in the upper 60's with good fading action out of the hand as the better of the two secondaries while the curveball showed young spin straits with limited depth at times. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base using a high leg lift trigger, barrel works short to the ball looking to attack the inside part with developing bat speed and more punch at contact to come with added strength to the frame. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
