Luke Berry is a 2022 C/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from San Juan Capistrano, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Has strong, athletic frame. Primary position is catcher, has set-up and defensive actions behind the plate. Has raw arm strength with consistent release & accuracy. Also participated in drills in the outfield, showed sound defensive skills, throws had online carry with accuracy. Recorded a 7.42 60 yd time. Right-handed hitter, hits from an upright open stance, hold hands high. Has line drive type approach with quickness in hands. Has tendency to load his hands late, best contact is when he is turning the barrel and using his rotational strength to drive the ball, projects as a hitter due to his strength. Excellent student.
